In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, in the Vovchansk area, enemy attacks continue. The Russians are trying to bypass the city from the flanks.
An officer of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi, call sign Historian, told the “United News” telethon that the enemy has changed tactics.
Previously, they attempted to storm the central part of Vovchansk, but recently abandoned that approach. Now they try to bypass the city from the flanks.
“We’re talking about the western outskirts — the settlements of Hrafske and Synelnykove. In Vovchansk itself, Ukraine’s Defense Forces hold the southern and eastern parts of the city with a well-constructed defensive line. The enemy cannot conduct rapid mass assaults here, because we see Russian personnel movement. They often do not even reach the line of contact”, — the officer noted.
