General Oleksandr Syrskyi presented the results for the first month of the year and analyzed the fulfillment of combat and operational tasks.

This was discussed at a meeting chaired by Syrskyi, which he reported on February 9.

The meeting also discussed repelling enemy air strikes, staffing and supplying our troops, conducting engineering and fortification work, and maintaining law and order.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stabilized the situation at the front, halted the enemy, and effectively destroyed its manpower and equipment.

Total enemy losses in the first month of the year amounted to 31.7 thousand personnel, which exceeds their replenishment by 9 thousand over the same period. This trend must be continued and strengthened.

He stated that in January, DeepStrike assets carried out 48 fire missions striking Russia’s oil and gas sector, reducing total oil refining in Russia by 19%, or 53.4 million tons per year.

He reported that the Air Force conducted 80 air strikes, and strike UAVs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out more than 300 thousand special missions. As a result of strikes on enemy airfields, the enemy’s use of guided aerial bombs decreased by 5%.

According to Syrskyi, despite a shortage of strike means, air-defense forces destroyed 21.7 thousand aerial targets and 21.6 thousand enemy UAVs of various types in January.

“Despite four years of full-scale war against a superior enemy, the Ukrainian army holds formation and continues reducing the number of the Russian aggressor’s grouping. I am sincerely grateful to our warriors for their resilience, professionalism and dedication”, — Syrskyi concluded.
