As a result of a series of Ukrainian Defense Forces strikes on the Kapustin Yar test range in Russia’s Astrakhan region, several facilities were damaged.
Updated information was provided by the General Staff of the AFU.
Kapustin Yar is used for pre-launch preparation of intermediate-range intercontinental ballistic missiles. The enemy launched the “Oreshnik” missile from there.
“As a result of previous strikes on the State Central Inter-Branch Test Range of the Russian Ministry of Defense ‘Kapustin Yar,’ we confirm damage to a technical maintenance facility for intermediate-range ballistic missiles, an assembly building, and a logistics warehouse”, — the General Staff reported.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian long-range strike assets, including the FP-5 “Flamingo”, were used in the attacks on Russian military facilities.
Enemy losses and the scale of damage are being updated.
The Defense Forces will continue systematic measures aimed at weakening the Russian aggressor’s offensive capabilities.
