On February 5, a Ukrainian serviceman long considered dead returned from Russian captivity.
This was reported by Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The soldier is Nazar Daletskyi, a resident of the village of Velykyi Doroshiv in the Kulykiv community.
He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation and went to defend the state again at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo.
In May 2022, Daletskyi stopped communicating. At first he was listed as missing. Later the family was informed that he had died in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region on September 25, 2022 — on his birthday.
In July 2025, another defender freed from captivity reported that Nazar was alive. In August another soldier confirmed this. In October — a third.
His family advocated and believed, and today the soldier has finally returned to Ukraine.
