In the Sloviansk direction, the overall enemy infiltration tactics have not changed: in small groups, they try to enter the inter-positional space of the Defense Forces and secure footholds there.

This was reported on Army TV by Volodymyr Holyahin, head of the communications department of the 81st Airmobile Slobozhanska Brigade.

According to him, these small groups of “infiltrators” are largely suicide squads, as they are sent one way. They move from the direction of Siversk, down the main road to Platonivka, trying to dig in there. Another critically important direction is the Serebrianskyi forest from the direction of Yampil. In addition, due to severe frost, the Siverskyi Donets River has begun to freeze, which poses a threat.

“The enemy is using this. Previously, they tried crossing in boats — unsuccessfully. Now they are trying to cross the Siverskyi Donets on ice and move these small groups across. This is not the best-trained personnel, but they do have some training. And they fear the units behind them that are supposed to cover them. That’s why they don’t want to return”, — Holyahin said.
