Occupiers targeted Kharkiv’s energy infrastructure for more than three hours
During the night of February 3, Russian occupation forces shelled Kharkiv for more than three hours. The strikes targeted energy infrastructure.
This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
“The goal is obvious: to cause maximum destruction and leave the city without heat during severe frost. We already understand that we will have to make difficult decisions. One of them is forced, but the only possible option. To prevent the heating system from freezing, we must drain the heating medium from the system serving 820 buildings supplied by one of the largest CHPPs”, — the mayor reported.
He emphasized that the unprecedented enemy attack on critical infrastructure leaves no alternative. All 101 “invincibility points” will operate around the clock — offering warmth, hot drinks, and charging for devices. Additional heating points will be deployed if necessary.
Interruptions in electric public transport may occur. To keep the city functioning, additional bus routes are being launched.
