In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the situation has remained tense for two weeks. Enemy infantry keeps storming positions and is being taken out one by one by drones.
Oleksandr Danylenko, head of the media relations group of the “Hart” Brigade, said this live on “Suspilne Novyny”.
According to him, until recently the enemy in the brigade’s area of responsibility only deployed small sabotage-and-reconnaissance groups and conducted pinpoint shelling. But the situation changed about two weeks ago — that’s when the enemy began active assault operations. Currently, the enemy is attacking and trying to probe weak points in the defense.
“They’re throwing in those they don’t mind losing. Infantry equipped only with small arms. Assault rifles, sometimes not even grenades. Sometimes they walk across an open field, becoming a very easy target for our drone operators. Maybe it’s to detect our UAV launch sites. Drones are probably the most effective weapon now against such assault groups”, — Danylenko said.
The “Hart” Brigade is also actively destroying the enemy’s rear — disrupting communications, logistics, and more.
“In the enemy’s rear, 23 kilometers deep, our drone operators found the location of Russian artillery. They destroyed the guns and an ammunition depot. Twenty-three kilometers is a serious distance for drones. Yet the guys succeeded — they found the target and hit it accurately”, — he added.
