Weather shapes the tactics on the Southern-Slobozhanske axis — clear, frosty conditions are ideal for drones.

This was reported on Army TV by “Veduchyi”, commander of Askold reconnaissance unit of the Steel Border Brigade.

Enemy reconnaissance UAV flights have increased, as have drone strikes 10–15 km behind the front line.

Askold’s drones now operate at distances of 25–30 km.

“It’s freezing, and the enemy is freezing too. They ask to be rotated out, but can’t — because despite the cold, the sky is clear. Our drones are in the air 24/7, detecting their logistics and striking them”.

There are many occupiers; when hunting one, another may slip through.

But Askold works continuously, finishing at night what wasn’t eliminated during the day.

“It’s winter, so they use simple white camo. But some ‘geniuses’ walk around at night with flashlights, thinking they won’t be seen. We’ve seen several such cases”.
