President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with President of France Emmanuel Macron.
This became known on the evening of January 28.
The head of state thanked for the condolences after Russia’s attacks on civilians and, in particular, the Russian shelling of a passenger train in Kharkiv region.
Zelenskyy informed Macron about the frontline situation and Russia’s losses, which continue to grow.
The presidents discussed diplomatic efforts: trilateral meetings in Abu Dhabi and preparations for new ones that may take place. They also discussed the fight against Russia’s shadow fleet. Macron described the legislative measures underway.
Special attention was given to strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience. In the near future, Ukraine will receive generators from France.
This year, there will also be additional deliveries of French aircraft, missiles for air defense systems, and aerial bombs.
Zelenskyy thanked for this support.
