Starting January 11, housing under the eOselya program has become more accessible for all servicemembers. Mobilized soldiers can now obtain a mortgage at 3% annual interest, the same as contract servicemembers.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko on social media.
“Banks are already processing the first applications. Among the first to take advantage of this opportunity is servicemember Petro Sydoryshyn, who was mobilized in 2023”, — she wrote.
Thanks to the updated conditions, Petro and his wife were able to purchase their own home in Rivne.
“This is not just housing. This is my ‘after’ and an opportunity to plan the future”, — the serviceman concluded.
To ensure the program remains socially oriented, clear limits on housing area have been established:
Yuliia Svyrydenko noted that over the entire duration of the program, 23,039 Ukrainian families have obtained their own homes thanks to eOselya.
The program helps Ukrainian families purchase housing at home — in Ukraine. Preferential conditions apply to all servicemembers, police officers, teachers, doctors, scientists, veterans, their family members, and IDPs.
“The total amount of preferential mortgages issued exceeds UAH 39.7 billion. In particular, 11,185 servicemembers were able to purchase housing on favorable terms. The government will continue updating the program’s conditions in line with current realities so that as many Ukrainians as possible can acquire their own homes”, — the statement said.
All details of the program and application submission are available within minutes via Diia.
