“They are all dirty and ragged”: on the Oleksandrivka axis, occupiers from Russia’s ‘backwaters’ are being eliminated
On the Oleksandrivka axis, Russians are attacking in small groups. The infantry is of “low quality”. No heavy mechanized assaults are observed.
This was stated on Army TV by Denys Bobkov, Head of the Communications Section of the 37th Separate Marine Brigade.
According to him, in the brigade’s operational zone, Russians continue to act in small infantry groups of 2–3 people. Sometimes, as Bobkov noted, “there are surprises” when motorcycles or quad bikes appear, but overall this is rare. Infantry attacks, and these are definitely not elite troops.
“When communicating with prisoners, we saw they had minimal equipment of very low quality. Their standard gear — that famous swamp camouflage. They are all dirty and ragged. Sometimes there are truly elite-looking assault troops with quality equipment and camouflage suits. But mostly they buy this with their own money”, — Bobkov said.
Ninety percent of prisoners said they signed contracts with the Russian armed forces directly in prison, or were threatened with imprisonment in the near future.
“The other 10%, again according to them, came here exclusively for money. This is their main motivation. Mostly these are people from the so-called Russian ‘backwaters,’ where there is absolutely no alternative for development or earning money. For them, this money seems astronomically huge, so they decide to take such a risk”, — Bobkov added.
