The Sloviansk axis remains one of the hottest sectors on the front. The enemy has not changed tactics, continuing to use small assault groups for constant infiltration between Defense Forces positions.
This was stated on the United News national telethon by Maksym Butolin, Chief Sergeant of the 54th Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa.
According to him, the enemy is active near Sviato-Pokrovske and toward Riznykivka, using small and ultra-small assault groups — sometimes advancing with just one individual. Later, lone attackers accumulate near Ukrainian defensive lines, followed by a rapid mini-assault.
“In our case, we observe a multiple increase in fiber-optic drones, as well as increased use of so-called ‘mother drones’. The ‘Molniya’ carries two FPVs and is equipped with a relay, extending the FPV’s operational range so it can fly farther.
Their main task is destroying our logistics, complicating ammunition delivery and personnel rotation at positions. Frankly, this is very disruptive”, — Maksym Butolin noted.
