During regular assaults in the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian command massively sends the so-called “special contingent” into battle — former prisoners, migrants, and mercenaries from impoverished backgrounds.
This was stated on Army TV by the chief sergeant of the UAV company of the 1st Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi, call sign “Viking”ю
At the same time, professionals — well-trained artillerymen and UAV operators — fight behind the backs of the “special contingent”ю
“It is difficult to give an unequivocal assessment of the enemy’s training. Given the scale of unsuccessful assault operations by enemy units, they are forced to prepare a large number of new assault troops in a short time. In conditions of a shortage of trained personnel, this is mostly the special contingent — former prisoners, mercenaries, and migrants. They are poorly motivated, lack specialized training, but also have no right to refuse to carry out tasks, because in that case they are immediately eliminated by their own commanders”, — he said.
It is precisely such “one-time-use” enemy soldiers that we usually see in videos of FPV drone strikes on assault troops.
“In our direction, we are dealing not with a professional army, but with a mass influx of desperate enemy soldiers who simply move from point A to point B, not understanding where they are going or what will happen next, but having no way back”, — the serviceman explained.
However, behind the backs of such “expendable” infantrymen, who are sent one-way to be slaughtered on Ukrainian positions, stand professionals.
“If we talk about other enemy units known to me in our direction — artillery, UAV pilots, effective FPV operators — then I must give credit where it is due. Here, we are fighting far from amateurs”, — Viking emphasized.
Nevertheless, the chief sergeant assured that regardless of the enemy’s level of training, on Ukrainian soil the occupiers face only captivity, injury, or death.
