Special forces of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have received a fast, well-armed medical evacuation vessel for operations on water — the T12.R (Resque) boat.
This was reported by the DIU of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The T12.R is designed for evacuation and combat missions on water. The bow section of the boat features a ramp for landing or evacuation. The improved design also includes a special opening on the side of the boat — fighters call it the “dolphin door.” This hull feature allows for convenient lifting of personnel or cargo from the surface of the water.
In the Resque modification, the control console has been shifted closer to the stern, and rescue stretchers are placed in the central part of the boat for comfortable and safe transportation of the wounded.
The T12.R is also equipped with mounts and modules for weapons and additional special equipment.
Two 400-horsepower engines and modern electronics, including a navigation system, ensure fast and reliable movement across water areas.
