On the night of January 23 (from 20:00 on January 22), the enemy attacked with 101 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered), Gerbera, and drones of other types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), and Donetsk (temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine). About 60 of them were Shaheds.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the morning of January 23.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 76 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types and drones of other types.
Impacts of 19 strike UAVs were recorded at 12 locations.
