“Today, drones dictate movement” — the enemy continues attempts to gain a foothold on the outskirts of Lyman
The situation on the Lyman axis is indeed difficult. The enemy is pushing toward Lyman, but as of today has failed to gain a foothold even on the outskirts of the city.
This was stated on the air of United News by Taras Dodychenko, Deputy Commander of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.
According to him, the enemy’s tactics have remained unchanged for a long time — infiltration by small groups of no more than three assault troops. Advancement toward the city becomes possible due to poor weather conditions and the enemy’s large manpower reserves. When it is not possible to fully use strike and reconnaissance drones, Russians attempt to cross our “kill zone” as quickly as possible. However, these attempts are stopped by the brigade’s drone operators.
“As of today, I want to say that there is no enemy in the settlement of Lyman, but attempts at infiltration and accumulation continue every day. In my subjective opinion, this tactic will not change in the near future, since any movements related to logistics and direct movement along the line of contact today are dictated by drones”, — said the deputy commander.
The situation with both glide bombs (KABs) and enemy drones has become more difficult. The enemy has seriously shifted focus to controlling logistical routes.
“Since we are pressed against the Siverskyi Donets River, our logistics are significantly complicated — the enemy takes control of our dams. They destroy them with glide bombs and also keep them under drone surveillance. Therefore, the situation with drones on the front line is difficult, and drones also affect logistics”, — Taras Dodychenko stated.
