Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko, made a working visit to the Zaporizhzhia axis.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on January 21.
During a joint meeting with the commander of the group of forces on the axis and commanders of relevant military units, the current battlefield situation and analysis of the enemy’s plans and intentions were discussed.
Ways to deepen cooperation and coordination among all components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were identified, particularly regarding the strengthening of all types of intelligence.
Key points included increasing supplies of modern technical intelligence assets and training intelligence personnel in line with the requirements of modern warfare.
Oleh Ivashchenko heard reports from commanders of DIU units involved in combat operations on the Zaporizhzhia axis.
The head of Ukraine’s military intelligence expressed gratitude to the warriors of the Active Operations Department and the Timur Special Unit of HUR for their daily armed struggle for the freedom and dignity of the Ukrainian nation.
“Thank you for your daily work. The fate of Ukraine today depends on our resilience and professionalism. I emphasize that our units must act proactively — that is why it is so important to obtain and possess high-quality intelligence information. Special thanks to the DIU special forces for consistently replenishing the exchange fund and for exemplary compliance with international humanitarian law. We continue the fight”, — Ivashchenko said.
