On the night of January 17 (from 6:00 p.m. on January 16), the enemy attacked with 115 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and other types of drones.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy attacked from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine). About 75 of the drones were Shaheds.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 07:30, air defense destroyed or suppressed 96 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 16 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at two locations.
