During the night of January 15 (from 7:00 p.m. on January 14), the enemy attacked with 82 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones (including jet-powered ones), “Gerbera”, “Italmas”, and drones of other types.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy launched the attack from the following directions: Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo — Russian Federation; Hvardiiske — temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea; temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 60 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, 61 enemy UAVs were shot down or suppressed by air defense.
21 strike UAV hits were recorded at 13 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at three locations.
