Russian forces have intensified attempts to infiltrate assault groups into the northern part of Pokrovsk — beyond the railway line. The Defense Forces are disrupting these actions with artillery and drone strikes, preventing the enemy from building up forces and launching an offensive.
This is stated in a publication by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the corps, the enemy is trying to operate in small assault groups, particularly in the northern part of the city and in the industrial zone in the northwestern outskirts. The enemy’s main objective is to gain a foothold and create conditions for further advancement toward Hryshyne.
However, Ukrainian units are acting preemptively. Enemy attempts to concentrate forces are regularly targeted by strike UAVs and artillery. Thanks to these actions, the enemy is unable to mass forces or deploy offensive formations.
The corps recalled that recently in this sector, units of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade repelled an attack by more than two dozen Russian assault troops and completely destroyed the enemy group.
Weather has also become a separate factor. The drop in temperatures complicates combat operations for both sides. Ukrainian defenders are receiving warm clothing and individual heating equipment to maintain combat effectiveness in low-temperature conditions.
At the same time, logistics in the combat zone remain difficult. Heavy drones and ground robotic systems are increasingly being used to deliver supplies and support units.
The released footage shows the work of artillery, FPV drones, and bombers against enemy targets in the industrial zone of Pokrovsk.
