In the first days of 2026, Russian invaders slightly reduced their activity on the Southern Slobozhanskyi axis; however, the intensity of the enemy’s offensive actions has now increased — approximately one and a half dozen assaults are taking place every day.
This was reported during an Army TV livestream by Ruslana Bohdan, an officer of the communications unit of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kostiantyn Hordiienko.
“Within the area of responsibility of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, since our last meeting, one can say that nothing has changed — and we are incredibly happy about that. Because in reality, enemy assaults continue here every day; every day, groups of Russians attempt to push through to our positions”, — she said.
Recently, the Russians have intensified offensive actions in the brigade’s area of responsibility after a relative lull in the first days of the new year, 2026.
“The enemy uses artillery and drones here. Both tactical and army aviation are operating. There has not been a single day when the enemy has not attempted assaults here. There was a slight decrease in the number of attacks at the beginning of the year, but now the figures are back to 15–16 attacks along the axis. In particular, we are also recording enemy activity in our area of responsibility”, — Ruslana Bohdan reported.
