NATO studies AFU logistics: first joint CJL3C conference held in Germany
The first joint NATO–Ukraine conference on logistics experience exchange, CJL3C, dedicated to sustaining forces under full-scale war conditions, took place in Mainz, Germany.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The CJL3C event became a platform for sharing experience that Ukraine has accumulated over more than ten years of logistics operations in response to Russian aggression. Organizers emphasized that these practices are critically important for NATO countries and partners adapting doctrines, strategies, and tactics to large-scale warfare in Europe.
During the conference, participants examined seven key areas:
- resilience of supply and distribution;
- strengthening logistical weak points;
- doctrinal adaptability;
- information as a force multiplier;
- investment in training;
- innovations in maintenance;
- domestic industrial capacity.
The importance of logistics as one of the decisive factors of modern warfare was emphasized separately.
“The conference demonstrated that logistics, which is often underestimated, is a decisive factor in modern warfare”, — said Brigadier General Witold Bartoszek, Deputy Commander of the NSATU Support Division.
The conference was organized by the Support Division of the NATO Security Assistance and Training Initiative for Ukraine (NSATU) with active support from Ukrainian partners. About 175 representatives of NATO command structures and Alliance member states took part in the event.
