President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard reports from the Commander-in-Chief and the Chief of the General Staff, including on cooperation with partners regarding security guarantees.

He reported this on social media on January 9.

“The documents are largely finalized. But their essence and strength lie in confidence that the guarantees will work. And this can only be demonstrated if protection works now — timely delivery of air defense, timely delivery of equipment for our resilience and energy sector, timely financial support for Ukraine — for our defense and resilience. There are many details, and each must be worked out now to ensure confidence tomorrow”, — the President said.

According to him, last night the enemy launched more than 200 drones and a large number of missiles at Ukraine. Restoration work is ongoing in Kyiv and the region, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, and Odesa regions.

“The Russians exploit the cold weather and try to strike as many energy facilities as possible. This shows how they respect America and diplomacy. Russia’s main tactic is to try to completely ‘switch off’ cities.

There was another ‘Oreshnik’ — this time against the Lviv region. It was once again demonstratively close to EU borders, which — from the standpoint of using medium-range ballistic missiles — is an equal challenge for Warsaw, Bucharest, Budapest, and many other capitals”, — Zelenskyy said.
