President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to discuss strengthening air defense, diplomatic efforts, and preparations for the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
This was reported by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Head of State stated that diplomacy and real assistance must go hand in hand. The aggressor state does not stop striking Ukraine, and at present it is necessary to strengthen air defense to protect people, communities, and critical infrastructure.
“Every delivery of air defense missiles saves lives and strengthens the chances for diplomacy. That is why every meeting must produce concrete results — new air defense decisions, new aid packages, and new capabilities to protect the sky”, — the statement reads.
During the meeting, the leaders focused specifically on this — Ukraine’s real capabilities to counter Russian terror, protection, and support that can strengthen Ukraine’s diplomatic position.
As Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted, diplomacy was discussed very thoroughly.
“Today in Paris — the most representative meeting of the Coalition of the Willing: heads of state, leaders of international organizations, ministerial-level officials, and ambassadors. We are preparing important political steps. I thank Emmanuel for his leadership and readiness to help. Thank you for this meeting”, — the Head of State said.
