The intensity of enemy assault actions in the Pokrovsk direction slightly decreased in the first days of the year, but this is likely temporary.
This was stated on Army TV by Andrii Otchenash, a serviceman of the 4th Operational Brigade “Rubizh” of the National Guard of Ukraine.
“The situation is tense. We see that the number of enemy personnel has decreased compared to last month. This is likely due to post-holiday factors, so to speak. We know that the enemy is preparing to continue assault operations”, — Andrii Otchenash said.
According to him, last month the Russians lost 60 pieces of equipment in the area of responsibility of the “Rubizh” Brigade. Losses among personnel are also enormous.
“One unit is almost wiped out to zero, they receive reinforcements, which are also wiped out. Then rotation takes place, and we destroy new units. Since July, the forces of our brigade and adjacent units have destroyed about 3,000 enemy personnel. That’s nearly the strength of a brigade — huge losses”, — the serviceman noted.
Despite this, Otchenash said, Russian invaders continue to push, sometimes even irrationally.
“At times, their command forces them to continue assault actions, and these actions look absurd from a logical standpoint. Out of ten occupiers, conditionally speaking, only two survive”, — he added.
The enemy is attempting to develop the production of naval drones and copy successful Ukrainian practices — both technical solutions and tactics.
