Two soldiers of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstyslav the Brave, call signs “Energetyk” and “Hruzyn”, held a position for 104 days.
The story of the infantrymen from the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 66th Brigade was published on the brigade’s channel.
“Over the radio we were told that the bastards were moving straight toward our position. We had only a few minutes to prepare”, — recalls infantryman “Energetyk”, whose full call sign is “Onuky Adolfivny”.
With drone support, the enemy assault group was destroyed without losses. However, the enemy detected the position of the Ukrainian infantrymen and subjected it to fire for eight hours.
“FPVs were already almost flying into our dugout. We covered the entrance with everything we could find. But because of shrapnel, ‘Karma’ was wounded”, — says “Energetyk”.
The soldier was provided with medical assistance and successfully evacuated. After their comrade was wounded, however, “Energetyk” and “Hruzyn” continued to hold the position together for more than another 70 days.
