President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Vasyl Maliuk to make Ukrainian asymmetric operations the strongest in the world.
He wrote about this on social media.
“I met with Vasyl Maliuk. I thanked him for his combat work and proposed that he focus precisely on this type of activity. There must be more Ukrainian asymmetric operations against the occupier and the Russian state, more strong results in destroying the enemy”, — the Head of State emphasized.
According to the President, Vasyl Vasylovych is best suited for this work and will continue to do so within the Security Service of Ukraine.
“I instructed Vasyl Maliuk to make the direction of our asymmetric operations the strongest in the world. The resources and appropriate political support for this exist. We also discussed candidates to choose a new Head of the Security Service of Ukraine”, — the President stated.
Lieutenant General Vasyl Maliuk announced on the SBU channel that he is stepping down as Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
“I remain within the SBU system to carry out world-class asymmetric special operations that will continue to inflict maximum damage on the enemy. I believe in a just peace and the flourishing of Ukraine. With deep gratitude for the support — to the Service’s personnel, all combat brothers-in-arms, and the people of Ukraine. Eternal honor to those who gave their lives for our future”, — he wrote.
