Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported that over the past year, the Ministry of Defense approved more than 1,300 new domestically produced weapons and military equipment models for use — a quarter more than the previous year.

The Minister of Defense reported this on social media.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the largest share of weapons and equipment includes:

  • unmanned aerial systems — more than 550 models;

  • ammunition of various types — more than 270 models;

  • over 50 models of automotive equipment;

  • 11 models of armored vehicles (including specialized armored vehicles);

  • 13 models of small arms.

The Minister of Defense emphasized that this is the result of systematic work by Ukrainian manufacturers, who not only scale up production but also create new technological solutions for the front.

“The development of the domestic defense industry is a strategic priority. Our own developments and modern technologies are one of the key foundations of the resilience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces”, — Denys Shmyhal stated.
