On the left bank of the Oskil River in Kharkiv region, Russians are actively trying to push Ukrainian forces off the bridgehead, but as of now there are no situationally threatening conditions.

This was stated on air by Viktor Trehubov, Lieutenant Colonel and Head of the Communications Department of the Joint Forces Grouping, during a broadcast on Suspilne.

“On the right bank, in the city of Kupiansk itself, the Russian presence is coming to an end, and they have failed to establish infiltration from the north”, — Viktor Trehubov said.

According to him, fewer than one hundred occupiers currently remain in the city.

“I would estimate 60–70 people, possibly fewer. They are being cleared out. They are scattered in the city center in separate buildings and basements. A gradual clearance operation is underway so as not to endanger either Ukrainian soldiers or civilians who, unfortunately, still remain there”, — Viktor Trehubov noted.

He added that Russians have set a new deadline in the Kupiansk area — February — to take the city, which they have supposedly already taken.

“This does not look realistic. As for Vovchansk, they are actively trying to bypass and occupy positions in Vilkha, moving toward Vovchanski Khutory. That is, they are attempting to outflank Ukrainian positions”, — the Head of the Communications Department of the Joint Forces Grouping said.
