To preserve the life of the commander of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” within the “Timur Special Unit” of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and to expose an enemy agent network, military intelligence officers conducted a complex multi-stage special operation during which his death was staged.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported details of the operation.
“To support the legend, a video recording of the work of two strike drones was created: the first UAV flew into a minibus in which Kapustin was present, and the second filmed the ‘aftermath of the strike’ — a burning vehicle”, — the statement said.
As noted by DIU, the commissioners of the crime within the Russian special services believed the provided video and paid the Ukrainian intelligence officers for the “contract” — half a million dollars, which will significantly enhance the combat capabilities of DIU special forces.
