“There are very many in ghillie suits”: near Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region, Russian infantry is using camouflage
In the Kramatorsk direction, enemy infantrymen are trying to advance toward the city of Kostiantynivka. To do this, they resort to camouflage — wearing white camouflage suits and ghillie suits.
This was reported on an Army TV stream by the chief of staff of the “Spalakh” unmanned systems battalion of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, call sign “Perepel”.
“The enemy is learning; they are using camouflage. If earlier they advanced simply in uniform, now very many are encountered in ghillie suits. There is snow outside today, so pairs and trios trying to infiltrate are all in white camouflage cloaks”, — he said.
Under such conditions, early detection of Russian infantry is a priority for Ukrainian drone operators.
Instead, the enemy relies on disrupting the logistics of the Defense Forces using so-called ‘loitering’ FPV drones.
“The enemy uses FPV drones as ‘waiters’, trying to cut off logistics. We do not conduct assault actions like they do, in pairs or trios. We are mostly entrenched on lines and positions and use movement less. The enemy constantly tries to infiltrate Kostiantynivka, and our tactic is clear — to stop them. The enemy’s tactic is to cut our logistics in order to reduce the damage inflicted on them”, — Perepel explained.
