President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that some of the most active diplomatic days of the year are currently underway, and that important decisions regarding Ukraine may be made before the New Year. At the same time, according to him, the outcome depends on the willingness of international partners to strengthen support and pressure on Russia.

The Head of State reported this on his social media accounts.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that over the past week alone, Russian forces have used against Ukraine:

  • more than 2,100 strike drones;

  • about 800 guided aerial bombs;

  • 94 missiles of various types.

The main target of the attacks was civilian infrastructure, primarily the energy sector.

The President stressed that repair crews, energy workers, and rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are working around the clock to restore damaged facilities and ensure stable energy supply for the population.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also underscored the importance of effective sanctions against Russia, stronger political pressure, and the timely delivery of missiles for Ukraine’s air defense systems.

According to him, these issues will be key during today’s negotiations with international partners, which are intended to bring the end of the war closer and guarantee security.

“It is important that sanctions against Russia work, that all forms of political pressure for aggression are applied, that missiles for air defense are supplied to Ukraine, and that we all finalize the formats of steps that will end this war and guarantee security. These are exactly the steps we will discuss with our partners today. Thank you to everyone who is helping”, — the Head of State stated.
