As part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor, on the night of December 28 units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Syzran Oil Refinery in Russia’s Samara region.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Hits by strike UAVs were recorded on the refinery’s territory, followed by a fire.

The plant’s annual processing capacity ranges from 7 to 8.9 million tons of oil. It should be noted that the Syzran Oil Refinery is part of Russia’s energy rear and is involved in supplying the aggressor’s armed forces.

The extent of the damage is being clarified.

In addition, the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully struck:

  • a storage and maintenance site for uncrewed surface vessels near Chornomorske (Crimea);

  • a repair unit of the 1435th Motor Rifle Regiment near the settlement of Antratsyt (temporarily occupied Luhansk region);

  • a pontoon crossing near Nikonorivka;

  • a storage facility for Shahed-type UAVs in Makiivka, Donetsk region.

Enemy losses are being clarified .

The results of a recent strike on the LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil processing plant in Russia’s Volgograd region were also confirmed — an oil product pipeline and a technological unit for oil production were damaged.

The Defense Forces will continue taking measures to undermine the military and economic potential of Russian occupiers and to force the Russian Federation to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.
