In recent days in the Pokrovsk direction, pilots have been forced to fly “by instruments” due to fog interfering with normal operations.
This was stated during an ArmiaTV stream by battle captain of the 1st Battalion “Predators of the Heights” of the 59th Assault Brigade of Unmanned Systems named after Yakiv Handziuk, Sergeant Roman Pidlubnyi.
“The enemy always tries to take advantage of poor visibility to infiltrate their zones of interest and conduct assault operations in certain areas. And indeed, under cover of fog, there were moments when they managed to slip through. But our brigade has been holding this sector for quite some time, so our pilots have already learned all the landmarks — how to operate in these settlements, which tree lines to reference. That is, even in fog we detect them, find them, and strike them. If in the morning they managed to enter a certain tree line or move through a certain area under cover of fog, by noon we try to neutralize them”, — Roman Pidlubnyi said.
