The experience of training Ukrainian combat medics is currently being studied abroad. Under conditions of limited resources and time, military doctors truly work miracles.
This was stated on the air of Suspilne News by Andrii Shvets, Acting Head of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy.
According to him, combat medicine is constantly evolving, which is why changes to combat medic training programs are introduced every year. Teaching methods are also continuously modernized at the Military Medical Academy, where tactical medicine is taught at the level of the world’s best practices.
In addition, the Ukrainian experience is already being actively studied abroad. After all, under conditions of limited resources and time, academy graduates perform real miracles — both saving lives and returning their patients to duty.
“We have established a qualification center for the certification of tactical medicine instructors. The academy also has a tactical medicine school under its operational command, where combat medics are trained. They receive certificates as tactical medicine instructors. That is, upon arrival at a unit, a doctor must organize and conduct training for servicemen within their unit”, — noted the Acting Head of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy.
