Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal released a Christmas greeting to Ukrainian servicemen and all citizens of Ukraine, emphasizing unity, the strength of traditions, and the resilience of the Ukrainian people during wartime.
The greeting was published on social media.
In his address, the minister noted that for centuries Christmas has been and remains a symbol of faith, family warmth, and unity.
At the same time, Denys Shmyhal emphasized that this year hundreds of thousands of defenders are celebrating the holiday on the front line, protecting the peace of their families and the entire country.
According to the minister, even in field conditions Ukrainian warriors try to observe Christmas traditions — preparing festive meals and caroling together with their brothers-in-arms, maintaining the atmosphere of a family celebration.
The Minister of Defense stressed that it is traditions that have helped Ukrainians preserve their identity despite the enemy’s long-standing attempts to destroy it.
Denys Shmyhal thanked servicemen for their courage and resilience, and their families for their patience and faith.
In conclusion, Denys Shmyhal expressed confidence that Christmas will strengthen Ukrainians’ faith in the victory of light and freedom over darkness.
