This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
What is Army ID?

Does Army ID replace paper documents?
No. Army ID does not replace paper military registration documents.
It is a convenient digital solution for everyday use, particularly for confirming the status of a serviceman or servicewoman during checks by representatives of Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TCR and SP) or the Military Law Enforcement Service, including at checkpoints.
Who and how can verify the data?
By scanning the QR code, representatives of TCR and SP or the Military Law Enforcement Service gain access to basic information necessary to confirm the status of a serviceman or servicewoman.
The data are not stored permanently and are retrieved only during verification.
Is Internet access required?
Army ID can be displayed in the application even without internet access.
However, an internet connection is required to generate and verify the QR code.
