On the night of December 20–21, 2025, as a result of a special operation at a russian military airfield near Lipetsk, two Su-30 multirole fighter jets were hit.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which released updated data on the results of the operation.
Earlier, intelligence reported a fire at the airfield and the disabling of two enemy combat aircraft. According to updated information, both damaged aircraft were Su-30 fighters, which russia actively uses in its war against Ukraine.
Cost of enemy losses
The estimated total cost of the two damaged Su-30 fighter jets may reach USD 100 million. Both aircraft were part of the combat aviation component employed by russia in air strikes against Ukraine.
