During the regular meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, the situation at the front, the state of air defense, and the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine across all directions were thoroughly reviewed.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.
Frontline and loss dynamics
According to the Head of State, in recent weeks the russian army has significantly increased the intensity of its attacks, which has directly resulted in higher enemy losses. Ukrainian units maintain active defense and inflict losses on the occupier in response to attempts to prolong and expand the war.
The President emphasized that if russia does not demonstrate seriousness in the negotiation process and continues escalation, Ukraine will respond with actions on the battlefield.
Deep strikes and support of the Defence forces
During the Staff meeting, reports were heard on strikes against deep enemy targets, as well as the Commander-in-Chief’s report on the needs and level of support of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Air defence and decisions regarding the “South” Command
Special attention was paid to the state of air defense, protection of the front line and regions, in particular Odesa region. According to the President, several candidates for the position of commander of the “South” operational command have already been presented, and decisions are being prepared.
