Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal, congratulated energy sector specialists on their professional holiday.
This was reported on the minister’s Telegram channel.
“Today, Ukraine marks Energy Workers’ Day. The Ukrainian military is fighting for those who are waiting at home. And it is grateful to those thanks to whom there is light in the homes of loved ones. To those who preserve life in the rear”, — the greeting reads.
The minister emphasized that energy workers provide more than just comfort. It is also about confidence that loved ones will be warm, that weapons so urgently needed at the front will be produced, and about the ability to timely hear a tired yet joyful ‘I’m okay’.
“We thank energy workers — people who bring light and warmth. Who do not allow the enemy to plunge the country into darkness and cold, working day and night, often under shelling. Every restored line, every restored kilometer of networks is yet another proof of the strength of the Ukrainian spirit”, — Denys Shmyhal noted.
“Sincere gratitude for helping the country endure. And eternal memory to the energy workers who were killed by the enemy’s treacherous strikes while selflessly performing their duties under extremely difficult conditions”, —the Minister of Defense of Ukraine added.
