In order to reduce the enemy’s military and economic potential, on the night of December 19 the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully struck a Russian Navy Project 22460 patrol ship, Okhotnik.

This was reported on the morning of December 20 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The ship was patrolling the Caspian Sea near an oil and gas production platform.

Several Ukrainian drones hit the ship. The extent of the damage and the vessel’s hull number are being clarified.

An offshore drilling platform at the Filanovsky oil and gas field in the Caspian Sea was also hit.

The facility belongs to Lukoil. The platform provides oil and gas extraction and is involved in supporting the armed forces of the Russian aggressor.

Its further operational capability and the scale of damage are being clarified.

In addition, in order to reduce the enemy’s offensive capabilities, a RSP-6M2 radar system was recently hit in the area of Krasnosilske, on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukrainian Crimea.

The RSP-6M2 is designed to regulate air traffic, in particular to ensure precise aircraft approaches for landing in conditions of poor visibility.

“The Defense Forces will continue to take measures to undermine the offensive potential of the invaders and force the Russian Federation to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine. To be continued! Glory to Ukraine!” — the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
