Ukraine has a system of free dental services for veterans, aimed at restoring health after service and return from captivity. Throughout 2025, almost 94,000 defenders received such assistance.
This was reported by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Treatment and prosthetics at the state budget’s expense
The service covers the full range of dental care — from initial examination and caries treatment to complex dental prosthetics.
The government emphasizes that the state must ensure the restoration of dental health for servicemembers after prolonged and difficult service conditions, as well as after captivity.
Accessibility across the country
The service can be used regardless of place of residence or registration — in medical facilities that have contracts with the National Health Service of Ukraine. Currently, more than 500 medical institutions across Ukraine provide free dental care to veterans.
Other medical services for veterans
The government is also developing other areas of medical support for veterans, including:
From the beginning of the new year, additional initiatives are planned — long-term medical care programs and services for correcting scar tissue changes after injuries and burns.
