A number of new agreements signed with German Partners worth over €1.2 billion — Denys Shmyhal
Ukrainian-German agreements concern spare parts for Patriot systems, procurement of Ukrainian UAVs, production of the Bohdana self-propelled artillery system on a new chassis, and joint UAV production.
This was reported on December 17 by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
He outlined the details of the adopted documents:
- Long-term supply of spare parts for our Patriot systems. This will allow faster repair, modernization, and restoration of existing systems.
- Procurement of Ukrainian UAVs worth €200 million. The supply of Ukrainian drones is a key priority for stopping the enemy offensive and increasing enemy losses.
- The largest artillery project — production of 200 Bohdana self-propelled artillery units on the new Zetros chassis, with a total value of €750 million, to enhance Ukraine’s artillery capabilities.
- Joint production of Ukrainian Linza UAVs in cooperation between the Ukrainian company Frontline Robotics and the German company Quantum Systems within the Build with Ukraine framework. These UAVs will ensure the scaling of tactical reconnaissance.
- Contracts signed for uninterrupted supply of the latest electronic warfare equipment at the tactical level.
“Thanks to the agreements between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, next year Germany has committed to allocate €11.5 billion in support of Ukraine.
I am grateful to Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius for announcing this important support during the Ramstein meeting.
We especially value the transfer of two promised Patriot systems and the 9th IRIS-T. This will help protect Ukrainian cities and strengthen European security.
Thank you, Germany!” — Denys Shmyhal noted.
