The situation on the Pokrovsk axis remains difficult. The enemy is attempting assault operations both day and night, taking advantage of unfavorable weather conditions, and periodically tries to advance in fairly large groups.
This was stated on Army TV by Artem Pribylnov, Head of the Communications Section of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv.
According to him, Russia’s 76th Air Assault Division has now entered the area. It is precisely its assault regiments that are currently “being worn down, bogged down in urban fighting” in central Pokrovsk. They are unable to cross the railway line that divides the city into two parts, so they are attempting deep flanking maneuvers. The western flank is one of the main hot spots.
“The enemy is advancing mainly using light vehicles, only occasionally employing armored equipment. They are focusing on the western part, toward the settlement of Hryshyne. In recent days, we have stopped several enemy columns there. But the enemy does not abandon attempts to advance in this direction”, — said the brigade’s communications chief.
