His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands received President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy for an audience at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague. They discussed the continuation of defense assistance to Ukraine.
This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine on December 16.
The Head of State thanked the Netherlands and the entire Dutch people for their strong and unwavering solidarity with Ukraine, and personally thanked King Willem-Alexander for supporting our country.
It was noted that Ukrainians highly value the Netherlands’ contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and resilience. Volodymyr Zelenskyy briefed his interlocutor on the situation on the battlefield and on Russia’s constant strikes against Ukrainian cities and communities, critical infrastructure facilities, and residential buildings.
“Special attention was paid to steps to ensure justice and to joint efforts with partners to achieve a dignified peace. The Head of State emphasized the active role of the Netherlands in the Coalition of the Willing and expressed gratitude for the joint work toward peace in Ukraine and throughout Europe”, — the statement said.
