On the night of December 17, Russia attacked Ukraine with 69 strike unmanned aerial vehicles from several directions.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Air Force, the enemy employed strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other types of drones, launched in particular from the areas of Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia), as well as from Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 40 of the launched drones were Shaheds.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to preliminary data, 37 enemy UAVs were shot down or suppressed in the north, south, and east of the country.

At the same time, 29 strike UAVs hit 12 locations. The attack is ongoing — enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.
