A Marine Corps unit has refuted information spread by Russian sources about the alleged capture of a Ukrainian servicemember on Korabel Island in Kherson.
This was reported on the page of the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Marine Corps, which published a video address by the servicemember as direct confirmation of the real situation.
Reality instead of fiction
The brigade emphasized that the information about the “capture” does not correspond to reality. The Ukrainian servicemember is alive, well, and remains in formation, continuing to carry out combat missions.
The published video demonstrates this directly and refutes the enemy’s claims.
Fakes as a reporting tool
The Marine Corps notes that such disinformation injections are part of a systemic practice of the Russian command — fabricated “successes” are used for internal reporting and attempts to justify their own failures.
Open sources have already recorded cases where falsified reports about alleged “control” over islands in the Kherson region led to internal conflicts within the enemy command structure and serious consequences for the authors of such reports.
A conclusion without emotion
Another information fake has been exposed.
The Russian side continues to spread false statements, while facts and direct evidence speak for themselves.
