Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with the heads and editors of leading Ukrainian media outlets to share information about the real situation on the frontline and the most important aspects of the Armed Forces’ activities.
He reported this in the evening of December 9.
“A substantive conversation took place. I answered many accumulated questions. Key points: the defense of Pokrovsk continues, our forces control almost 13 square kilometers in the northern part of the city. Myrnohrad is not encircled. Our successful counter-sabotage operation in Kupiansk is ongoing.
I want to emphasize once again: the scale of Russian lies exceeds the actual pace of the Russian troops’ advance many times over.
The enemy uses disinformation and its fake maps in its hybrid war against Ukraine, influencing both foreign audiences and our own society, our army.
Therefore, I urge everyone not to help the enemy and not to spread Russian propaganda messages.
We cannot yet share detailed information about all our successes with the wider public. The lives of our soldiers on the positions they have regained control over depend on such disclosures. And we care about the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. I thank domestic media for their understanding and support.
We will win together! Glory to Ukraine!” — Oleksandr Syrskyi wrote.
