The “State Rear Operator” of the Ministry of Defense is procuring universal field tents — armored blankets — for the first time. These are intended for both individual and collective protection of personnel.
This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The product resembles a tent and provides protection against fragments of artillery shells, mines, hand grenades, and other explosive hazardous elements.
Its design involves the use of materials capable of stopping damaging elements and dispersing their energy during training and combat missions, as well as during active hostilities.
The armored blanket can be used:
It is planned to purchase the first 5,300 units worth more than 132 million UAH, with delivery scheduled by the end of February 2026.
The product kit includes a cover, a soft ballistic panel, an individual carrying bag, a passport (specification sheet), and a set of spare parts for minor repairs. All armored blankets will be supplied in the MM-14 camouflage pattern (“pixel”).
The product retains its protective properties in humidity conditions from 40% to 70% and at temperatures from –40°C to +70°C for at least six hours. Each armored blanket will be marked with a QR code providing access to the text-based user manual.
