Support that makes a difference on the battlefield
Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Andrii Lebedenko, thanked Estonia, its Government, and its people for their unwavering and substantial support in the struggle for independence. Particular emphasis was placed on Estonia’s joining the PURL initiative — the “Priority Ukrainian Requirements List”, which is aimed at financing the delivery of critically important U.S.-made weapons.
Participation in key Coalitions
Partners continue to play an important role in two defense coalitions:
Estonia is contributing to the development of the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ capabilities and the training of Ukrainian troops, which directly enhances the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to counter modern threats.
Current situation and Ukraine’s new requests
During the meeting, Brigadier General Lebedenko informed the partners about the situation along the frontline and outlined the priority needs of the Ukrainian military.
As part of the medical support segment, the parties also discussed technological capabilities for assistance and potential joint projects in this area.
Peace and security guarantees— a shared priority
Concluding the meeting, Andrii Lebedenko thanked Estonia for its comprehensive support of Ukraine in efforts to stop the war and establish a lasting and just peace. He emphasized that reliable security guarantees for Ukraine are a key result of the joint work with international partners and of the Ukrainian people, who continue to defend their state.
